Mark Bailey

Agenda New West is about the economics, culture and environmental conservation of the New American West. "Agenda" is an enthusiastic reference to the U.N.'s Agenda 21, a road map of sustainable, smart growth ideas, ideas that promote the evolution of a New West toward a "society to match the scenery." And the scenery is splendid.

Mark Bailey is a conservationist and sap for books, natural landscape, dark skies, and ideas. In 2010 he founded Torrey House Press, LLC with a tagline "for love of the land." In 2015 he converted the press to a nonprofit corporation in order to better promote conservation through literature with the incomparable Kirsten Johanna Allen in charge as publisher.
